 A LITTLE ABOUT TOLVA

TOLVA is a space princess who travels the universes of space and time in an orb of vibrating color, searching for stories of the strange, the queer, the weird and exciting. She shares these stories through music, video, and live performance.

TOLVA has presented her work in San Francisco at KLANGHAUS, in New York City at Undiscovered Countries, and in Philadelphia at FringeArts, SUPERobject, 4 Weeks in January, Bob and Barbara’s, Vox Populi, and other venues. Her most recent performance project, entitled DEEEP SPACE LOVE SONG, premiered in the 2017 SoLow Festival in Philadelphia.

TOLVA is the art child of Sam Congdon, a Los Angeles-based curator and multimedia artist. Sam is a founding member of SUPER|object, a curatorial collective dedicated to creating space for young and emerging Philadelphia artists. His artistic work uses live performance, experimental electronic music, video, and new media to explore the intersections of sex, gender, and technology. He is working towards an MFA in Design | Media Arts at UCLA.
